Autumn is slowly approaching and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s finally time to bring out the candles and the blankets.
I have been loving rose water lately and I was going to look for a brand but I realised I could easily make my own.
I had roses left in the garden so I took some petals and gave them a good wash.
I then dried them. To dry my rose petals I laid them on a baking tray and put them on gas mark 1 for around 8-10 minutes. Once they’re dried I added them to a saucepan and covered them in just enough water to submerge them. I then put it on a low heat. You don’t want the water to boil just to come to a light simmer. You know when it’s ready as the rose petals will have hardly any colour left in them.
Once done I place the rose water in my spray bottle and placed it in the fridge till cold. I usually spray my face at night. It has really helped to reduce the redness on my skin.
I have been using the urban decay all nighter setting spray and wow I’m obsessed. This setting spray is perfect. It keeps my make up in place all day as well as stopping my foundation from oxidising too much. Although on the pricer side I would recommended it to anyone looking for a good setting spray.
I have already stated my love for candles but I recently bought some from Asda and they are so lovely. They look a little bit like the Joe Malone candles but without the high price tag. They smell amazing and make your whole room so fragrant. They are also pretty big and come in 2 and 3 wicks. I love these candles and they are so affordable! I will definitely be buying some more. My favourite at the moment is rose and oud double wick candle.
